How Can I Help?
I love working with authors and publishers to develop great children's fiction and nonfiction books. At the beginning of a project, we work together to shape the outline, general storyline, characters, and key messaging. Together, we identify the target audience, age group, page length, format, and word count. During and after the writing process, I continue to work with the author, identifying problems with—and providing solutions and suggestions for—plot, tone/voice, word choice, flow, character development, and so on. For illustrated books, I can assist in finding, recommending, and selecting an illustrator. I can also assist in selecting a graphic designer and working with the team through the remainder of the book publishing process.
